This weekend, I will be playing The Stranger in Endstation Theatre Company’s premier presentation of Scott Gendel and Nick Lantz’s new musical “Unearthed.”

“Set in the Blue Ridge foothills in 1900 and 2000, Unearthed utilizes traditional mountain music, musical theatre, and opera to tell parallel story lines. It follows the troubled lives of Alzy and Wade, who in their own time each discover the same strange man buried in the woods. The mysterious stranger promises to grant wishes to his rescuers, but wishes come at a cost, and Alzy and Wade struggle to set their tumultuous lives right. UNEARTHED is rooted in stories from traditional mountain folklore with references to historical events from the Central Virginia region.”

Performances take place on Sweet Briar College Campus July 26, 27, and 28 at 7:00 p.m.
