This semester has presented me with a several educational opportunities. The final week of May saw me volunteering for six days in Toronto, ON with the Shakespeare Association of America’s annual conference. The position provided me with an incredible glimpse at some of the brightest academics currently working in Shakespeare and early-modern drama.
Upon returning to Staunton, I was privileged to present a collaborative “Inside Plays” pre-performance lecture at the American Shakespeare Center and teach a class on King Lear at Eastern Mennonite University.
These wonderful educational opportunities coincided with my semester-long Professional Writing Teaching Assistantship with Mary Baldwin College’s English department and my Graduate Assistantship with the college’s Shakespeare and Performance program.
